A wonderful early single cylinder, three speed Rover which has a good turn of speed, its engine power no doubt benefitting from the all mechanical valve setup. The car has a wonderful useable patina having been extensively renovated some years ago. Early Rovers are very high quality cars and this example represents a delightful entry into Edwardian motoring.

The Rover 6 was designed by Edmund Woodward Lewis and is a small two seater, 6 horsepower car and only the second car model made by the British Rover company. The engine is a 812cc side valve single-cylinder unit, water-cooled, with a bore of 95mm and stroke of 110mm. The crankcase, flywheel and clutch and gearbox enclosures are made up of one pair of aluminium castings.

A rare opportunity to purchase a running Rover 6 H. P. that has been cared for in long term ownership with an unusual registration number, IE 151.

This Motor Car can be viewed by prior appointment at the owners home near Peterborough, with very good access from the A1 Road and the Mainline Railway, London to Edinburgh. It has been enthusiast owned and has been kept alongside a Bentley and Rolls - Royce Corniche and other classic cars.
