Rare 1967 Mk1 Morris Mini Traveller ‘woody’ in Tartan Red. As can be seen in the photographs, this car is really solid, underneath as well as the bodywork, as it has been correctly restored in the past. The paintwork is acceptable and perfectly useable ‘as is’ and the interior, as far as I can tell, is original but with a split in the rear seat and some holes in the front seats, but again useable. The woodwork has been refurbished and is in good order and the seatbelts and tyres were replaced when I bought the car. The car starts, runs and drives well with the brakes, suspension and electrics etc, working as they should. I was told by the previous owner that the 848cc engine has been rebuilt and the condition of the bores and piston tops, which I checked when I changed the head for an unleaded one would support that. However, the car does smoke and use some oil despite the rebuild, so probably needs further work. For sale as my other long-term project is taking my time, and I could do with the space now. £9850. This is a rare iconic vehicle, very few now left on the roads. Just driving it brings a smile to my face and when you park it, people will always come and talk to you. The slightly longer wheelbase makes it handle even better that the saloon in my opinion. The car is 56 years old and just 7 owners in that time.
