1980 BMW E24 635 CSI PROJECT
A recent purchase of ours is this very rare BMW e24 635 csi project . Originally a south african registered car that has only been in the UK for the past few years so has the benefit of being exceptionally solid underneath having come from a dry climate and not requiring extensive welding as these often do. We have inspected the car underneath to confirm this and all we can see is two small patches (about 2/ 3 inches square ) that it will require and any potential purchasers are welcome to put the car on our ramp to confirm as such for yourself.
The body as a whole is actually pretty good , although the front wing on the nearside is badly dented and will require removal and repair , there are various small imperfections in the paint but it actually polishes up really nice so would be nothing to stop you using it as it is if its to be driven as a rolling resto.
Mechanically everything seems to work as it should and it has recently had a faulty ignition switch replaced. Gearbox changes but the cable will require adjustment replacement in our opinion . brakes are decent as are wheels and tyres , engine bay is very clean and some money has clearly been spent detailing it and painting the plenum chamber, rocker cover and various other items . Also had a recent new starter motor
