For sale a handsome 1966 example of the late Healey brute. Built on 21st March – 4th May 1966 this Essex, UK delivered 3000 MkIII is an original home market RHD specification car very well optioned with a overdrive, a heater, laminated windscreen, road speed tyres and a Black tonneau. The car remains today in its original colours of British Racing Green with Black seat upholstery and Black carpet. The registration RNO 386D is original to the car as identified by the original log book supplied in the history file. The car has been in current ownership around 30 years.

RNO was restored by Healey specialist Victor D. J. Smith in 1992 and has covered just 3, 900 miles since. Restoration included full paint and body refurbishment with the body and chassis shotblasted back to bare metal, full engine rebuilt, gearbox and overdrive service, re-chroming of brightwork, specialist plating, reupholstering work, new suspension bushes and more. The seats and dashboard have been more recently re-trimmed in 2015 with Black leather-faced covers, Black carpet with Black edge binding.

We have looked after the car for the owner for the last few years with his instruction to get the car driving as well as it can. As such we have replaced the brake servo, fitted a new prop shaft to smooth out the driveline, adjusted up the steering, fitted new Blockley tyres, fitted a new fuel pump, fitted new brake calliper’s and carried out a full service and grease up. To preserve the underside the car has been clear waxoyled for some further protection.
