With the "V" series, Moto Guzzi used a foot-operated 4-speed gearbox and an engine with overhead valves (OHV) for the first time. This development was another milestone for Moto Guzzi. The designation GT stood for the rear suspension. Engine power increased from 13. 2 hp to 18. 9 hp. Initially, the GTV still had the old trapezoidal fork, but from 1947 it received a telescopic fork and hydraulic dampers at the rear. The motorcycle was superseded by the Astore in 1949. The GTV on offer is an older restoration in good, drivable condition. According to the Guzzi certificate, the motorcycle was manufactured on 03/ 22/ 1948.
