The most significant being the transplant of the running gear from a late-‘90s Mini Sprite. But why just drop in a 1275cc donor engine when it can be given a stage 2 tuning conversion complete with performance pistons, camshaft, manifolds and exhaust system? And then completely rebuild the gearbox and add a verto clutch and new 3. 1 crownwheel and pinion. Finish it all off by spending many thousands on bodywork repairs, paint, chrome work, period roof-rack and an indulgent cabin professionally trimmed and complete with sumptuous grey leather seats.
The result…a hugely satisfying driving experience. Sporty, but not overstated. Comfortable, but definitely not lethargic. And, above all, fun! It’s a great little car ready to be used and enjoyed.
Comes with current MOT to November 2023, a history file complete with many receipts and MOT records and two sets of keys.
