Matching numbers Riley Sprite car number 37 of 50 built, offered with both standard Riley radiator and later waterfall grill.
Since 2017 I have been in contact and negotiations with the vendor, it is now my pleasure to offer DND162 to the open market after 20 enjoyable and memory filled years with the vendor.
Purchased new in 1937 by Tom Hague as a wedding present for his wife Kay. Tom already had a 12/ 4 Kestrel Sprite (CVR571), in December 1938 Tom acquired one of the last Sprites built BCR810 now owned and used by N Lees.
DND was used extensively by the wife and husband team in competition throughout the pre and post war periods, up until Kay’s death in 1972. Tom’s Sister and her son Christopher Hood took over custodianship in 1975 with DND moving to Oxfordshire from Saddleworth (Oldham).

In 1982 Paul Jaye purchased DND for his wife to use, by 1992 DND arrived with John Pearson (Dunlop competition tyres), finally arriving with the vendor in April 2003 where she has remained.
