Chassis 3009 was an early production model being the 23rd car to be built with a build date of 29th May 1967. Supplied through the Italian dealer Monzeglio in the same iconic combination of Rosso Miura over Nero Fintapelle the car wears to this day.
Following its early life in Italy, Chassis 3009 went to neighbouring France before, like many Miuras, going to the States. When the car returned to France in the early 1990?s, it was subject to a comprehensive restoration by GTO and Carrosserie Le Coq in Paris. As an early car it was built with the ?thin chassis? which was reinforced during the restoration. The owner also took the opportunity to bespoke the car with upgraded Miura S brakes; wider SV rear wheels and tyres, SV suspension and electrics upgraded to be fit for purpose!
Le Coq exhibited Chassis 3009 at 2003 Paris Retromobile. The restoration was subsequently the subject of a major article in the French magazine, Automobiles Classiques.
In 2007 Chassis 3009 was sent to engine specialist Edmond Ciclet?s workshop in Western France. They installed a factory replacement engine that was upgraded to a split sump specification (the original block remains with the car).
In August 2008 the car was featured in the French edition of Classic and Sportscar. Although registered at this point 15JR118 the magazine shows it as being registered 6000TQ14 which belonged to a Countach.
In 2013 Cecil Cars in Paris sold Chassis 3009 and it was imported into the UK by the previous owner, well known collector. The car was annually serviced by UK specialist, Barkaways.
In October 2016 Chassis 3009 took part in the 50th Anniversary Miura Tour in Spain registered YTA 443E.
In 2020 Chassis 3009 was sold to the current owner, a noted collector and Lamborghini VIP client. Used sparingly since its addition to his collection, Chassis 3009 has been the subject of an article in the April 2022 edition of Classic and Sportscar.
