I?m delighted to be able to offer what must be one of the best Airhead R100RT’s available today.
UK bike, supplied by Harveys of Grimsby to its first owner in April 1995.
I originally purchased the bike from its second long term owner (the first registered owner was the BMW main dealer) a couple of years ago, and have fond memories of riding the bike home from Yorkshire, and thinking ?this one has to be a keeper?. Alas, as we all know, you can?t keep them all, and after a while, off she went to a new custodian.
As i say, this must be one of the most original, low mileage Airheads in existence. Mileage is a guaranteed 16631 miles from new, supported by both DVLA MOT records, and hard copies of the MOTs. Looking into the MOT detail, it failed the MOT only once in 24 years, and that was for headlamp adjustment being slightly high ! There?s not even an advisory in all that time. Having said all that, a quick look round the bike will rapidly confirm its ultra low mileage. Paintwork, is the limited edition two tone silver ?Classic? scheme, and is absolutely immaculate, and complimented by matching, factory three piece pannier and top box system. Being the run out model for the Airhead RT, there are a host of other factory factory options fitted, including crash bars, auxiliary clocks, heated grips, hazards, comfort touring seat, etc, (a standard seat can be offered as an option) Twin Brembo?s up front, and a stainless exhaust system are also on this model. Even the original, comprehensive tool kit is present.
The bike obviously wants for nothing, and will come with an oil service and a fresh MOT at point of sale.
I have a good selection of Airheads available at the moment, ranging from an R50/ 5 through to an R90S. Here at JTR Classic BMW, Washington, North East England, viewing days / times are quite flexible, and the kettle is always on, but by appointment please. Just drop me a note, or give me a bell.
