I am the third owner since 2016. She was sold new and has always been serviced by Sabater in Lavernose-Lacasse, a former BMW agent turned specialist in old flat twins, who service her every two years or 5, 000 km at most. The first owner kept her for a year, the second, a SNCF mechanic, kept her for twenty years. This bike has never been off the road for long. I have mainly ridden her in winter for the past ten years. Stored under a cover from May to October in a dry garage, tank full with fuel stabiliser. Her 74, 000 km are backed up by her service invoices. Original odometer. Original paint, in very good cosmetic condition apart from a few minor stone chips. The smoke-finish silencer still shines, the tank interior is spotless, and the fairing plastics have not faded. Very low oil consumption (1 litre per 10, 000 km). Everything works: heated grips, clock, voltmeter, hazard warning, long-range headlight. The Michelin Classic Road tyres are 1 year old with 2, 000 km. Fork seals and carburettor diaphragms are recent, and the foam air filter is recent. The last service was at All Saints 2025, with 2, 000 km covered since. Serviced every 2 years or 5, 000 km, at Sabater. Model not affected by the missing circlip issue on the 5th gear shaft. Non-original equipment: Surefoot-type side stand. Headlight height adjustment (by Sabater). BMW panniers from the early RTs (one holds a modular helmet). Krauser top box. 12 V socket with fuse. MRA screen, wider and better profiled, which shields the hands. Fog light converted to a daytime running light (3 W LED) with a switch (original). Long-range halogen headlight controlled by the headlight switch on the handlebar. Comfort seat raised 3 to 4 cm by a saddler (standard comfort seat supplied as well). Audible indicator repeater, with switch. Seat pan reinforced by Sabater to carry a top box. Tank pad and Briant bag, almost new. Koni shock absorber in perfect condition. Two sets of all keys, standard registration document (collector's registration possible). A unique bike that shelters you far better than today's GTs, keeps your feet warm, is surprisingly manoeuvrable and agile with its narrow tyres, has good acceleration and good braking (Brembo).
