EXTERIOR
The GT2 is a nomenclature synonymous with Porsche Motorsport since its introduction in 1993, and this 996 example is one of very few C16 Factory Clubsport cars. Markedly different from the Turbo variant the extended front bumper, staggered rear wing and gaping intakes point to both an aerodynamic and performance advantage. The iconic headlights are a nod to the racing inception of the model and just one of the many features borrowed from the Le Mans winning 911 GT1.

Finished in a menacing shade, this 20 year old 911 absolutely glistens here under our studio lights with a strong gold and silver pigment throughout. Overall the bodywork presents very well ? straight and clean with consistent paint and panel gaps front to back.

All rubbers, plastics and surrounds remain soft and supple with no discolouration or age related wear.

INTERIOR
Upon entry, the exclusive features of the Clubsport package are immediately apparent. The hardback Recaro bucket seats are embroidered with the Porsche logo and are surprisingly comfortable; with deep contours and a thick padding they provide excellent support and cushioning for both driver and passenger. The half 4 point cage consumes the rear of the interior, providing extraordinary stiffness and security to handle the turbo powerplant that sits behind it, with a track-inspired factory fitted extinguisher sat neatly in the passenger footwell.

Despite the race car appearances the GT2 does come with some creature comforts; all important AC, CDR-22 stereo and a leather stitched dash surround. Black carpets run the length of the car which provide some soundproofing and offer some Touring refinement.

Overall the interior is in very good condition, the leather dashboard shows no signs of fading, the seats show no evidence of marks or tears and the limited electrics all function as they should.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The GT2?s shattering performance is derived directly from the company?s Le Mans winning 911 GT1 and the twin-turbo Mezger is simply a marvel of engineering. There is a short delay as the boost swells before surging forward on a huge wave of torque; the GT2 is still very much considered a true supercar in terms of performance. Its power delivery is totally encompassing and captures an intensity that cannot be mimicked by variable turbine geometry.

The engine bay presents in fine condition and over the last 12 months the starter motor and transmission cooler hose have both been replaced.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
The timeless 18 inch Turbo wheels remain unmarked and clad in a set of Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2?s installed at the last service. With a recent corner weight and a Manthey spec geometry calibration the car handles impeccably.

Supplied with ceramic brakes from new the car pulls up with incredible stopping power.

HISTORY FILE
Delivered in April of 2002 by Graypaul Motors of Brighton, this C16 Clubsport has enjoyed a thorough service routine with a combination of main dealer and specialist servicing over the years. Despite the low mileage there are no fewer than 10 service stamps in the original service book and, alongside an impeccable MOT history, this GT2 has had everything it has needed and more.

Marque specialists RPM Technik have been working through the car in 2023 and have carried out a multitude of small jobs to ensure the car is on the button and ready to go.

There are significant invoices present in the history file for work carried out alongside MOT certificates, a full owners pack and the spare keys.
