2001 CITROEN SAXO VTS 16V
Another fresh arrival is this wonderful Saxo VTS .
The majority of these cars have been used and abused most of their life and their are very very few genuine examples that have been enthusiast owned and well cared for . This is one of those examples .
Registered in 2001 this facelift example is completely standard as it left the factory and still bears its supplying dealers numberplate’s. It has covered a warranted 86000 miles from new supported by a wonderful history , all keys, owners manuals etc .
The last owner has had it for 6 years and whilst in her ownership has been looked after exclusively by marque expert Chevronics, with supporting invoices to the tune of over £5000!
As everyone knows Saxo’s can tend to rust badly on the underside, this one has not. We have inspected it in our workshop and any prospective buyer is welcome to do so also. The boot floor, sills, front chassis rails and all the usual weak spots are all original and still in excellent order with no signs of deteriorating in the future either .
This is an extremely genuine car without being silly money as 90’s an noughties hot hatches are tending to become. The wheels have been recently refurbished and the front end repainted as some of the lacquer had crazed and chipped (I have pictures before and after ) .
If I were to be super picky you would do the following in the future if you want a perfect example:
front tyres only have a few thousand miles in them
small chip to the drivers door that has been touched in
drivers door card has a loose piece of cloth around the handle
I can feel a bit of play in the centre of the steering rack which is apparent at higher speed
fuel cap needs replacing (pennies)
This car represents a fantastic opportunity to purchase a genuine low mileage , well maintained vts at sensible money that is a far superior example to anything else remotely like this price currently for sale and is a great future investment in our opinion .
