We are delighted to offer for sale this very genuine low mileage, low owner defender with a factory 3. 5 v8 engine from new . It has covered an unbelievably low mileage of just 32000 miles by 3 owners .
The last owner was an overland search and rescue team so it has been maintained exceptionally well as it was always needed to be called upon in an emergency (although not very often looking at the miles!!!)
It has a specialist carmichael body installed with an electrical connection and roller shutter doors to the rear body .
Mechanically it is in superb condition and drives with no obvious faults at all and only needs half choke to start first time .
On the body I would personally put this car into a rest mod style pick up which would look incredible , to complete this it would require a new rear door along with a canopy (which are circa £300 on eBay) . Both doors have some corrosion along the bottom edges and would benefit from replacement aswell as some rust in the lower drivers footwell, although the body as a whole and the bulkhead are exceptionally solid .
The chassis is typical Land rover - visible surface corrosion all over but no rot - outriggers, crossmember etc are all in excellent condition and require no welding, it simply wants a really good clean and a nice coat of waxoyl/ lanoguard etc .
