This is a lovely thing. It’s a 1951 MG TD Midget finished in gleaming red with a black interior.
The car was original registered in Ireland and came to the UK in 2015. Since then, it has had extensive works done, including a repaint, new clutch, gearbox rebuild, new prop shaft, new timing chain, rebuilt carburettors, brake overhaul, electrics overhaul, including fitting direction indicators, and more.
The TD was a post car model but based on the prewar T-series cars. The most radical change with the TD was the adoption of independent, coil-spring suspension. The majority of TD production went to North America, so it’s a relatively rare car in the UK.
The MG is a lovely car to behold and great fun to drive on sunny days. It’s a real head-turner!
