1975 Morgan Plus 8 - with just 23, 300 miles
Founded in 1909 by H. F. S. Morgan, the Company has been responsible for numerous hand-crafted sports cars ever since. Based in Malvern, three wheelers were the first products, with a four-wheeler - the original 4/ 4 joining the range in 1936. This new model rapidly gained a loyal following with later models, namely the Plus 4 and Plus 8, appealing to enthusiasts Worldwide with their timeless styling and character.
The Plus 8, which debuted in 1968, was powered by the famed Rover V8 3. 5 litre engine. Remaining in production with various changes until 2004, the Plus 8 was reintroduced in revised form from 2012, being available until 2018.
Today, the earlier models are especially revered, being seen as the purest form by enthusiasts.
Offered here is a 1975 model, of particularly smart appearance being finished in Old English White with black wings. The black leather seats have been renewed and offer a very comfortable driving position with plenty of adjustment available.
Carefully maintained over the years, the recorded mileage stands at just 23, 300 - this being supported by previous MOT certificates and hand-written notes on file. There are also a number of bills and a copy of a letter to Morgan from the first owner starting that he would stand on with his order for the new car, despite a recent price increase!
The weather equipment fits extremely well and includes a full tonneau cover.
The V5C Document shows four previous owners, two of which would appear to be supplying dealers along with two private keepers. The car is extremely original and feels very taut on the road, with instant response and a glorious, purposeful exhaust note.
Included with the documentation is a current MOT certificate and the correct Driver’s Handbook.
