Bought new on the 21st Feb 1964 this beautiful Moggy is about to celebrate its 60th birthday and it’s only had two owners in all that time, the last one for 33 years. A genuine factory tourer with a Heritage certificate of confirmation, it has just 38128 miles recorded. It starts instantly and runs well, drives effortlessly pulling strongly through all the gears, great clutch with no slip or judder, it does not jump out of first gear and it stops well (again please see the video we spend over four minutes touring the underside), handbrake is good, all the lights, wipers, indicators, horn, washers, wind down windows, quarter lights, door catches and locks all work as intended, both doors open easily and click shut an stay shut. There is no breathing from the oil filer cap and no spitting from the dipstick when running, all in all it drives really well, its sitting on very good set of tyres all with ample tread.
The front seats have been upgraded with a pair of Newton Commercial high backs that have been covered in matching material to compliment the rest of the Porcelain Green and Silver Beige interior, the carpets are ok, door cards and rear panels are all presentable, it has the optional heater fitted. There are also retractable front seats belts and a pair of rear seat belts to aid modern motoring needs. The folding hood is in a good serviceable order with no signs of rips or holes and the rear screen is clear, it also comes with a hood down cover stored in the boot.
Currently showing only 38128 miles, it has only completed 501 miles since 2006 shown by small increments on the MOT history, however we cannot confirm the low miles as 100% correct. We are very happy to put this car through an MOT for the buyer.
The car is HPI clear, we have the full current logbook, a Heritage Certificate, a workshop manual and the MOT history as far back as 2006, it is MOT exempt and the road tax is free, classic insurance should be a round £100 for most drivers over 25, parts are readily available and there are a multitude of clubs, rallies, regional groups and national for these charming little cars.
The paintwork is very good, with good shine and offering a nice reflection when caught in the sunlight, the odd imperfection will be found on very close inspection, it’s a very honest looking and very usable car you’d not be afraid to take anywhere. Bright work is all good, not new and slightly aged but all perfectly fine and there are several replacement chrome items in the boot, along with a spare wheel and some other bits an bobs.

Local delivery within 20 miles of Carlisle is normally for free, further afield we can deliver to most of the UK for £1 per road mile, one way (it will not be delivered by crow), please ask for a price.

All viewings are exclusively by APPOINTMENT ONLY, we do not have a showroom or display area, items will to be fetched from our secure storage to view and advance notice is required.
PAYMENT
Payment by bank transfer prior to delivery or upon collection. We have no card facilities, Paypal is not accepted, cheques are not accepted. We do not take deposits to hold items and all items remain for sale until paid for. Nothing leaves the yard until funds are shown cleared in our account.
