Here’s a complete one off, a 1984 Suzuki LT125 incredibly tidy and original condition with only 1526 miles on the clock, comes with its own purpose-built road transport trailer, its still got its original seat cover, hand grips and the manufacturers sticker on the chassis, it has done no serious work or play in the last 40 years, super simple electronic free mechanics in great working order, starts, runs, stops and turns exactly as it should.
The Suzuki has hand change semi auto gears (no clutch wont stall) operated from a lever by your left thigh, very easy to operate, it has 5 forward gears and reverse the brakes work well on a single hand grip to the rear axle as originally manufactured.
After 40 years of development quad bikes are now huge machine with equally large engines, what may now seem to be a small youth or child’s bike the LT125 was indeed a full size adult bike in its day and was a popular model, simple to ride and lightweight they don’t plough through mud leaving a trail of destruction but simply glide over the top and if you do find some slippery stuff, hop off and swing the back end onto firmer ground, seems incredulous now but that’s how it was done and your land will thank you during the wet months.
You also get a free purpose built road transport trailer, designed for simple loading and unloading of this specific quad, it has a folding tail ramp, spare wheel and hand winch, the bike is held in place with a simple lock bar and there is even an old spare fuel can fitted to the frame. The hitch is old but sound the lights work and the tyres are ok, we have towed it about locally with no problem.
The bike has an electric start, the battery is completely dead and we have ordered a new one which will be fitted before its sold, the starter can be seen working on the video attached to our jump starter, it also has a pull start which is super ease to use. The headlight is not working but looking through the lens the bulb is foggy.
Sensibly priced, very tidy, simple mechanics quad bike, suitable for all riders, young, old and infirm with a free trailer thrown in, must be the best value bike under £1200 on the market.
