Toyota Starlet KP60 Widebody
Fantastic looking and sounding Starlet!

This KP60 generation Starlet is a fun and usable example, these 80’s hatchbacks are a rare sight on the roads. This example benefits from some desirable and period modifications.

• TRD-N1 widebody kit, front dam spoiler and rear hatch spoiler.
• Lightweight fiberglass bonnet with a carbon-fibre cover.
• Standard 1. 3 4K engine, 75hp/ 117Nm.
• Performance camshaft, make not known.
• Twin Dell’Orto carburettors with Pipercross air filters.
• Performance exhaust manifold, make not known.
• 4-speed manual gearbox.
• Diff lock, make and final drive ratio unknown.
• Rare 14” alloy Work wheels, 205 tyres at rear and 185 at front.
• Recaro reclining bucket seats with sliders.
• Luisi sports steering wheel.
• Alpine CD radio.
• Dashboard mounted tachometer with shift light.
• Tinted windows.

Speedometer is showing just over 225, 000 km. According to the previous owner the engine was rebuilt and has driven just over 5000km, I have no proof of this though and cannot guarantee this. I have just had the carburettors setup (20. 03. 24) as it was running too rich, at the same time it was on the dyno. Engine is healthy and performs quite well for a 1. 3, dyno report is available.
Road inspection (MOT/ TUV) was carried out on 25. 03. 24, it needed a steering rack gaiter renewing which has been done. I took some photos of the underneath when it was at the inspection, it is rust free but has had some rust repairs in the past.
It has been painted at some stage on the outside in this radiant red colour, been done well but there are some signs of over spray on the window rubbers.

I have been using this great Starlet on and off now, it is such a fun car to drive and gets plenty of attention from all age groups. One thing that I have noticed is that the handbrake light stays on most of the time, must be a faulty switch.
