For Sale: 1982 Toyota Starlet 1. 3S (KP61)
This Toyota Starlet 1. 3S (KP61) was first registered in the United States in 1982. In 1984, it was imported to Portugal by its original owner, who kept the car for approximately 30 years.
Around ten years ago, it was acquired by its current owner, who also sourced a complete European-specification donor vehicle in order to convert this Starlet to the correct European configuration.
At that time, the car underwent a light restoration. Thanks to its remarkably solid and well-preserved condition, very little work was required. The original U. S.-specification engine was replaced with a European-specification unit, providing a noticeably more responsive and enjoyable driving experience, while the original electronic ignition system was retained. The car was also fitted with period ATS alloy wheels, which perfectly complement its appearance.
Today, this Starlet presents exceptionally well and remains a remarkably honest example. It starts easily, drives beautifully and offers the light, agile and engaging driving experience for which these rear-wheel-drive Starlets are so well known. The overall condition reflects many years of careful ownership rather than an over-restored example, preserving much of the character that makes these early Starlets increasingly sought after by collectors.
As with any classic vehicle, there are a few minor cosmetic details that could still be improved, such as a thorough interior detailing, although nothing that detracts from the car's overall presentation or driving enjoyment.

The vehicle may be reserved with a deposit. Should the car not correspond exactly to its description or to the condition shown in the photographs and videos, the deposit will be refunded in full.
The car is located in northern Portugal, approximately 10 minutes from Porto International Airport, which offers direct low-cost flights to most European destinations. I will be pleased to collect any genuinely interested buyer from the airport.
Worldwide transport can easily be arranged at the buyer's expense, and I will gladly assist in coordinating shipping through experienced international vehicle transport companies.
