EXTERIOR
Looking sharp in classic Perlweiss this ‘72 bug presents very nicely indeed. Previously restored to a high standard both the body and paintwork remain in excellent condition with only a few minor age-related imperfections to note on close inspection. Finer details such as the rubber seals and trims are first-rate throughout, and the chrome elements are perfect. The wheels have also been refinished and look very smart with the correct polished hubcaps; they are shod in matching Firestone tyres with plenty of tread remaining. All the lights are clear and moisture-free, and there are no scuffs scrapes anywhere. A particularly smart example of the much loved classic Beetle, looking every bit the low mileage of just 45k.

INTERIOR
The interior feels just as fresh as the outside of the car and appears very original throughout. The seats are still trimmed in their original basketweave vinyl and we’re pleased to report that other than some loose piping they are largely unworn. The grey carpets are in excellent condition and the black vinyl door cards are unmarked; the painted dash is also free from any scratches or chips. Under the bonnet you’ll find a very tidy luggage compartment with the original spare wheel in perfect order.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
With its 1200cc flat-four engine the Beetle is a real joy to drive, and what it lacks in power it more than makes up for in character. The car has been driven and enjoyed by only 4 keepers since new and under their custodianship it has covered a mere 45k miles. The engine bay is very clean and tidy, and for the new owner’s peace of mind a full service has just been carried out. She starts up first turn of the key, idles smoothly up to temperature, and drives very well with no crunching gears or clutch judder.

HISTORY FILE
This lovely UK right-hand drive Beetle was first registered in December 1972; quite remarkably it has had only 4 keepers since new. The very low mileage of only 45, 820 miles is well documented by an excellent MOT history within the accompanying paperwork. Clearly cherished by each of its owners the car was treated to a quality refurbishment a few years back, and to help preserve its excellent condition it has remained garaged ever since. A recent clean HPI report confirms that the car has never been written off, had a colour change, or been imported/ exported. Freshly serviced she’s ready to be driven and enjoyed this summer.
