We are very pleased to offer a 1972 Morris Mini Clubman finished in very rare Mallard green with contrasting Lime flower trim, this is the only Clubman that I have ever seen in this colour. It has had just four previous owners and has only covered 82k in 52 years. It is accompanied with a large and comprehensive service history folder that dates right back to its first service in 1973. It was registered new by Gary Jones and Sons in Aberdovey and it still has its Passport to service book. It has every MOT certificate from 1984 and most of its tax discs and service receipts. It is wearing its natural patina very well and is very refreshing to not only find an early Clubman like this but also one that has never been messed with, its charm is infectious and I for one are a big fan.
Its an original matching numbers example with its original 998 engine, inner wing FE number, front panel body number and commission number. It has the correct twin bolt front subframe and bevelled roof gutter. It has recently undergone a sympathetic renovation and benefits from having many new parts including brakes, steering and suspension etc. It remains as a survivor car and it is very well presented.
On the road this Clubman is a joy to drive. The full seventies experience is on offer. It starts immediately and the engine is very responsive. The remote change gearbox is also very smooth. It pulls well and the performance will surprise you and it easily keeps up with modern traffic. Thanks to a new set of Cooper S wheels and Falken tyres the handling is sharp and precise. People just stop and stare when this little gem cruises past and it just makes you smile.
This Clubman also has a very well preserved interior with those fantastic Limeflower seats with matching door cards, it has its original steering wheel, roof liner and we have just fitted new carpets in place of the original set. This is pure Mini as it was intended, simple instruments, big steering wheel and ten inch wheels.
This Mini has a solid shell with good floors, sills and solid subframes. The paintwork has been refreshed and is well presented and as you can see it has a deep shine whilst still retaining an original factory appearance. The boot floor and engine bay are in fantastic condition. This is a very good looking early Clubman that has subtle looks.
This Mini is fully serviced, checked and driven with many new parts. It also has a full MOT and is also MOT and tax exempt.
