Beschreibung
This 1953 Bentley R type Steel body saloon which was purchased by our client some 37 years ago has been christened Burgundy Bess, or just Bess when not Sundays.
Bess is accompanied by a nice history file supporting the present ownership, including a milage book, explaining works that have been completed over the last 37 years. During this time approximately 40, 000 miles have been completed with Bess by our client.
1998 Bess was taken off the road of a major 3-year overhaul, undertaken by various specialists. Brunt’s of Silverdale were instructed to rebuild the engine including 6 new liners, alongside re-coring the radiator and new water pump. Bess has also been treated to a new interior re-trim in leather, along with re-painted finished in cellulose, as is inevitable the paint has shrunk over this time.
Once our onboard helped by suicide doors, she starts first ime without fuss. On the road the behaves very well indeed, with all gears working, and brakes pulling up straight, no horror stories to report on-road manners.
Bess is very well priced within the market for quick un-complicated sale.
