Mercedes-Benz introduced the R107 in 1971 as a successor to the famous W113 ‘Pagoda’ and the third generation of their SL series. It was a huge success and went on to become their second longest production car, behind the G-Wagon. Production ceased in 1989 with over 250, 000 models built.
The Classic Car Company is delighted to present this fabulous example. With only 55, 908 miles on the clock, 2 owners, and a full history file, it’s hard to believe that many better examples will be left in existence!
This incredible example also benefits from being built with the most desirable 3 litre straight 6 engine, matted to a 4-speed auto gearbox.
First registered and delivered in the UK on 3rd March 1989, this car is a very late example. The Anthracite Grey paintwork compliments the grey Leather, and this combination remains as specified from the factory. This car was loaded with optional extras from the factory, including heated seats, outside temperate gauge, rear seats, electric windows and mirrors, heat-insulating glass.
The first owner kept the car until 2012, when it passed on to the second and current custodian.

In April of this year, we carried out a full pre-sale vehicle health check (report available) and 8 minor faults were identified and rectified, along with a service. As such, the car drives in a faultless manner, and bodywork presents in mint condition. The alloy wheels were also refurbished back to factory condition.
