JME is delighted to offer for sale this Concours example of a restored Austin Healey 3000 MKIII phase 2. This Austin Healey 3000 MK III was restored by JME Healeys in 2017 and has been a regular concours entrant and class winner in Healey Club & concours show events.
Built on the 2nd of February 1965, this example of the Austin Healey 3000 MKIII left Abingdon originally Healey Blue and was exported to New York City where it remained until its repatriation to the UK in the early 1990’s.
During the cars restoration it was painted its current colour scheme of Red with Black interior. This final and most powerful incarnation of the ‘Big’ Healey has had a full lead-free conversion, and is fitted with an uprated fuel pump, high torque starter motor, electronic ignition, adjustable steering column, Derrington Steering Wheel, Overdrive, Large Bore rear exit exhaust silencer system. 60 spoke chrome wire wheels fitted with Avon CR6ZZ tyres. Black mohair hood, tonneau cover & envelope.
The car remains on its original chassis and has fantastic panel gaps. The car was rebuilt using its original outer body panels. Excellent paintwork will make this car stand out of the crowd. Sound deadening & heat insulation fitted throughout has made the car an incredibly smooth and refined ride to produce the best road quality car available. Ready to be enjoyed and toured.
