Craner classics is offering another wonderful Wolseley 16/ 60 the car does contain a extensive history file and the car goes by the name Walter which was built in 1968 and was exported to Cyprus it was registered as DU565V by Geoghios, a resident of Nicosia. The Wolseley 16/ 60 was sold in 1993 to Mr Kirkbride a military officer posted in Cyprus who undertook significant refurbishment the car was returned to the uk on 9/ 10/ 1996 aboard the sir Percival RFA travelling from Akrotiri to Marchwood military base near Southampton. He then lived on the Wirral until sold to Ms McConville in 2001.
Walter's luck continued. Works in Ms McConville's ownership included then installation of a reconditioned engine around 2010. The car has covered less than 5000 miles since and runs like a dream! In 2013 tony Stanley took ownership of Walter, between them winning numerous awards at local car shows. Custodianship passed to me in July 2018 and over the following winter I have been busy: Welding (very little considering), partial respray, refurbishment of hydraulic systems, front suspension refurbishment, new vinyl including door cards, alternator conversion etc etc. Ready for another 50years.
