For sale here is a superb 1960 Daimler SP 250 (Dart). Finished in Old English White with Red leather interior. Outstanding condition throughout and showing only 2 owners for the past 54 years the last since 1981 an incredible 43 years !
First seen as one of 2 cars exhibited on Daimlers stand at the London Motor show in 1959 with Sir Stirling Moss at the wheel
We have copies of the old Green Logbook, as well as old MoT’s going back to the early 70s. Also in the file are receipts for a full body restoration in 2017 at a cost of £5, 700, engine rebuild in 2016 and a full re trim in gorgeous Red leather with contrasting Red carpets. Sitting on wide Wire wheels shod with 205 70 15 tyres it really does have a super stance.
The body work on the car is unblemished with none of the usual fibreglass cracking/ crazing.
The engine fires up instantly and settles to that lovely Daimler 2. 5 litre Hemi rumble, showing superb oil pressure. All switches and lights work as they should, the gearbox is smooth and precise. There appears to have been quite a lot of other work carried out as all the front suspension, steering etc looks to be almost new/ replaced.
Soft top is Everflex cloth and fits beautifully, the chrome is superb
A really outstanding example of this marque.
