Genuine RHD car, delivered when new to Stockholm, Sweden in September 1949 to a man who was a Director of a well-known UK Company who had a house in Sweden.
This is a time warp car; the engine is almost silent running.
A friend of mine bought the car in 2020 and registered it in his name but rarely used it.
It is probably the best, never been welded or restored, and with a lovely patina.
The leather is superb with a few cracks, it could be fed and improved with a small amount of work to a very high level.
Very few now have the original leather
It still has working trafficators.
The MK5 chassis is very similar to an XK 120 with independent torsion bar front suspension, and leaf springs on the rear.
This gives an excellent ride and handling; they are delightful to drive in modern traffic.
This car has a Bentley kind of "presence", simply stunning!
