Motors Corner presents this 1959 Ferrari 250 GT Coupé Pininfarina for sale: History of the car: When production of this model began, it was assembled in the new Pininfarina factory in Grugliasco, which enabled the model to become the first Ferrari to be produced in series with a production run of 343 examples.
Our example is one of the first to leave the factory in 1958.
It was then delivered in 1959 to its first Italian owner. It was then exported to the United States, where it remained for 27 years, before returning to Europe in 1987, where it joined the important collection of the Swiss Jean-Pierre Slavic, who kept it in his museum for 20 years. It finally returned to Italy a few years ago, in the hands of an Italian collector. A restoration was carried out in 1990.
The official "Classiche" certificate of authentication was issued in 2007 and will be supplied with the car. Mechanical condition: The legendary Colombo engine starts very satisfactorily at the first turn of the key. In very good mechanical condition, the car is sound and drives perfectly, with smooth gear changes and satisfactory braking. The engine seals have just been replaced. Interior condition: The entire interior of this Ferrari is in superb, near-new condition, with beige Connolly leather upholstery that has been completely redone and shows no signs of wear.
The wooden Nardi steering wheel, dashboard and gear knob are in very good condition, and the instrumentation and electrical equipment work as intended. Exterior condition: The bodywork is in perfect condition, and the car has always been stored and used in good condition. The 16-inch Borrani wheels and tyres are also in very good condition.
