Mini deluxe automatic 1968 , 41, 000 miles from new with full service records/ history confirming the milage as true & accurate . I have the original BMC service book stamped to 1971 showing 12162 miles and 26 mots from 1974 showing 15292 miles to date however what I found really special was the small hand written note book started on the 12th April 1971 showing 12168 miles to 5th June 1988 showing 25277 detailing everything carried out on the car during this period & I mean everything. The car was called Minna & the girl detailed almost every gallon of fuel used, to the fitting of radyiot wing mirrors on the 31 December 1984 which was a christmas present also the fitting of a new Astor CR47 car radio on 22 April 1975, Purchased from Halfords, I also have the original invoice, warranty & instruction manual (thats the detail of this cars history) & guess what ? Its still fitted to the car & still works!
Minna is an automatic which was rare in its day so its almost impossible to find a classic mini auto now & although it will not appeal to everyone it proves along with the milage this old girl has lead a pretty easy life unlike most old minis. Totally as it left the factory in 1968 in Almond green with green interior. Drives great not the quickest mini ever made but lots of fun & thats what minis are all about. (Free tax & cheap insurance Bonus) Motd until 3rd September 2011. Everything works well. Great heater. Bought and loved by a young girl at the hight of the swinging sixties & saved for the next generation. This is a lovely car in fact everything is just lovely about her .
I have a cooper s which has a rusty bodyshell & as they no longer make early shells I have been looking for a doner shell & thats how I came across minna but it would be criminal to do anything with this car but love her & pass her on to the next custodian. My kids love her but I have an S to repair . A classic ready to enjoy / show with absolutely no depreciation.
I have the new style log book/ V5, a copy of the old style V5 & the original buff book. Original owners handbook & workshop manual.
