This is one super rare Corvette. In 2004 GM built just forty five Z18 Le Mans cars for the EU market, this is one of them. The vin ends 00005 ie the 5th built. But it gets even better - the RPO label is stamped WD1 which translates to GM Pilot Car.
We believe this is the only example of a Z18 in the UK unless you can advise us otherwise. The very last picture listed is of the car's RPO label which clearly confirms WD1 as well as Z18.
Just turned 48, 000 miles, the car has full service history plus all mot's throughout it's life. In addition the car has recently had gearbox, differential, clutch & brake fluids all changed.
Here's an extract from the Stateside C5 Registry exactly as it is written, a copy of which is in the car's history folder ...........
"These 45 Coupes are VERY RARE and in fact will become the RAREST of all Commemorative Edition Corvettes. All forty-five Z18's were 6-speeds with a very unique Z06 suspension including the Z06 Nuremburg inspired shocks as part of it's unique performance package. This rare Z18 package included the carbon fibre hood found on the Z06-Z16's along with it's very special Commemorative Edition stripes which are unique to these forty-five C5's as the roof and hatch decal is of a different length compared to the Z06-Z16. All Z18 came with Z06 Red Brake Calipers front and rear."
