** HISTORY**
On sale with Bruce Greetham Classic Benz is a very fine R107 indeed.
This has to be one of the lowest mileage 300 SLs currently on the market and it’s painted in Nautic Blue, one of the most desirable colours.
A late 1989 car with only two previous owners, the car was originally bought in by the main dealer for his wife to drive, which sadly she never did, so it was sold to the second owner within 2 months.
Subsequently the second owner became unable to drive, so the car was stored at a local garage until he passed away.
The 3rd and current owner purchased it in 2022, and it went to a specialist for a complete overhaul and recommissioning at a cost of over £20, 000. The history file has the bills to evidence the work.
The gearbox was sticking in gear, so it was stripped, cleaned, and fully serviced.
All fluids and bushes were replaced, as was the exhaust, to ensure it was road-ready and fit for purpose.
For authenticity, however, the original tyres have been retained, should the next owner want to show the car. It still has the original balance weights on the alloy wheels, which also confirms that they have never needed to be refurbished.
Every detail in and around the car puts this 300SL in a time warp.
The seat fixings, screws, bolts to boot-well cover: everything is in place and feels right.
The needles and decals are like brand new, with crisp controls for perfection.
