Description
-Lovely MG TF, owned for about a year but selling for spares and repairs before I go to university due to a head gasket failure. Long MOT, soft-top and hard-top, 1. 8L, ULEZ compliant and extremely fun to drive. Very reliable, has started every single time I have turned the key sadly now faces overheating issues due to the HG. Previous owner had lots and lots of important work done on the car and even took it to the Nürburgring back in the day.
-Unfortunately, like many TFs and cars of its age this one has begun to face issues relating to overheating and for this reason I am selling it on the cheaper end. Additionally, as mentioned in the condition description the zipper on the soft-top is broken and therefore the plastic rear window is loose (being held on by some paper clips). This has not been an issue for me as whenever I have the soft top on I am driving with it down (and therefore have no need for a rear window) and when I park the car i can put the roof back up and once again do not need a rear window. This is definitely an easy issue to fix, all one would need to do is buy a zipper repair kit from online and reattach it.
-Secondly, the bodywork of the car is not ideal, there are a few scratches here and there and the rubber black sealer which lines the windows and windscreen has worn a bit meaning some tape is required to supplement. This can be easily fixed as well by just buying and refitting some of this rubber sealing. The window liner on the bottom (on the drivers side) is also missing. I have it with me but have not refitted it as it is slightly bent. The headlights are also suffering from a bit of condensation on the inside.
-Overall, the car is a blast and has provided an incredible driving experience for my 1st year of driving. For someone who would enjoy fixing up these small appearance-based issues (or not, it hasn’t bothered me), the car is a perfect bit of fun, especially when the sun is shining.
-If one is living not too far away then on collection the car could probably be driven back rather than needing a trailer etc...
