Due to foreign departure, I regretfully sell this Jaguar E Type V12 4 speed manual gearbox, in my possession since 2019. This model left the Coventry factory on 16 December 1971, heading for New York where it remained until 2019, the date of its importation into France and the date of my purchase. It had 60000 miles and is driven whenever the weather is nice (to protect it) and currently has 70400 miles on the clock, having done 10400 miles (16000 Km). This is a very reliable car, having driven it several times over 1000 km in one weekend for outings with the Jaguar club. Added to this is the pleasure of comfort with power steering, air conditioning that works perfectly and the "purr" of the V12 that you can't get enough of. This is a CG collection. The 2022 CT was faultless, and the Jaguar Heritage certificate proves that this is the original model, with matching engine, chassis and body numbers.
The bodywork is in perfect condition with good alignment of the bonnet and doors, with no signs of corrosion. The floorboards (driver and passenger) were replaced in 2020. The Burgundy colour is a Jaguar colour, the car having been repainted aus US.
The V12 works like a charm with a torque that is very pleasant to drive. No overheating thanks to 2 9-blade fans fitted in 2020 and an aluminium radiator. The clutch master cylinder and regulator have been replaced. The 4-speed manual gearbox works perfectly. A lot of work has been carried out on the front and rear axles to make them more reliable, including rebuilding the rear axle with 4 adjustable shock absorbers, replacing the silent blocks and the axle spinnaker seal, and replacing the brake pistons. The front axle had its ball joints, silent blocks, bellows and wheel bearings replaced. 4 new tyres on chromed spoked wheels in good condition, as well as the spare wheel. The interior has been restored in imitation leather except for the front seats which are original and in excellent condition. Carpets and rugs are new. The dashboard is perfect with all switches working and an original car radio that works. All in all a very nice model appraised in 2024 by an expert approved by the Court of Appeal at 67, 000 euros. The complete file can be sent on request. The car can be seen in the Roanne region and can be examined on a bridge.
