1973 Jaguar XKE 2 plus 2, V12 4 speed Transmission, has a 1969 Corvette 350 - 350 h. p with a later model 5 speed install in the car. This combination makes for a reliable source of driving with inexpensive tune ups and repairs. I was told by the owner that the V12 power plant was to expensive to tune and was not reliable for true driving. I believe it also was complicated to keep running correctly and did not want to spend the money to tune correctly by the people that know how. So they installed a good old reliable Chevy power plant with it mated to a gas saving 5 speed. Now that's easy to maintain. I was told that the engine has been rebuilt by a reliable and professional engine build in his area . Nothing was damaged in the swap of this engine so no cutting or damage was done to the car in this swap.
