This outstanding VERY low mileage 300SL was supplied new on 1st August 1989 by Lancaster Sheffield to Michael Deakin, a local man who bought the car as surprise present for his wife. The first registered keeper, Cadetcard Ltd, is Mr Deakin’s own company. Subsequently he transferred the car’s registration to himself in 1992. Mr & Mrs Deakin pampered their SL for 26 years, using it only on high days and holidays and never showing it a wet road until they parted with it in 2015. The new owner, Brian Ellis of Chorley, purchased the car with just 7, 180 miles on the odometer and enjoyed it for 4 years before it was acquired by the SL Shop in 2019 at 10, 627 miles, serviced and sold to the present owner who resides in Guernsey. The current mileage is 11, 515.
Presenting beautifully in Surf Blue with a virtually unmarked cream leather interior, this 300SL is a rare opportunity to acquire a low mileage car with effectively just three previous owners. It’s supplied with MoT certificates confirming the recorded mileage and illustrating the fact that the car was used only sparingly, having clearly had some periods in storage - in the two years from 2007 it covered just 10 miles.
