This lot will be auctioned via Iconic Auctioneers, The Iconic Motorcycle Sale at the NEC Classic Motor Show 2025 on Sunday the 9th of November, NEC, Birmingham, B40 1NT.
This rather cool special is based upon Honda's compact GL400 which proved to be a popular platforms for 'Special' builders
When new, (only available in 1979/ 80) the GL400 featured a 396cc liquid-cooled, four-stroke V-twin producing 40bhp and 23lb/ ft of torque. It utilised a 5-speed gearbox and shaft drive
The work included a full engine replacement with all new seals, 'O' rings, gaskets, and driveshaft mounting (old engine included)
Carbs stripped and rebuilt, new starter motor and battery, electronic ignition, LED indicators
Powder-coated frame, custom paintwork, custom headstock, bespoke seat and Harris clip-ons
History file with old MOTs and various receipts
The bike has been unused in recent months and therefore will need some recommissioning prior to returning to the road
