Mini Cooper S R53 JCW Race Car

When the R53 was released, BMW wanted to prove the performance and reliability of the R53 Mini Cooper S. So they tasked Tony Franks at JCW Garages to build an endurance car to compete in Dubai and Nurburgring 24hrs. This is that very car. It was also used as a launch car at the Nürburgring for testing and was driven by the late Karl-Heinz Kalbfell, it has most recently raced with the no95 in his honour. The car then went on to compete in 750 MC Enduro and Roadsports taking some wins in the meantime. More recently it has been running in local Castle Combe Championships and remains competitive in the right hands.

The car comes with limited history, what the owner has found on the internet and then a number of recent invoices from where the car has had a good going over including brake, suspension and engine parts. There is also a spares package which includes one spare set of Autec wheels (other two sets available at extra cost), spare cylinder heads, driveshafts, FMIC, exhaust system and other useful parts.
