A lovely looking R129 Mercedes SL that has covered only 64, 000 miles since new. We acquired it from a local gentleman who has owned it since 2014.
It looks very smart in the metallic grey colour and is in very good order throughout with straight, clean bodywork free of the normal deterioration on these cars, and it is excellent underneath.
Because of the low mileage, the interior shows virtually no wear and everything works nicely. The roof operates correctly and the colour-coded hard top fits properly.
The SL has recently been through a classic car workshop for a service including belts and HT leads, brake attention, new tyres all round, and refurbishment of the important roof control module. The MOT runs to August 2026.
The 300 SL-24 is the more desirable version of the 3. 0 R129, with the 3. 0-litre DOHC M104. 981 straight-six producing 231 bhp. There are not too many of these models around. The specification includes hard and (electric) soft tops, full black leather interior, electric heated seats and eight hole alloy wheels.
A very nice example of the Mercedes R129 in a lovely colour.
