This MGB has seen very little use in the past 15 years or so but has undergone extensive work in current and past ownership. It appears to have been a competition car since around 1992. At one point it was built with the intension of competing the Spa 6hrs but a previous owner never got round to it. It’s reported to have had a replacement narrow tunnel shell around 2012 and so the car presents in fantastic condition. It has had a back to steel paintjob on its all-steel body, with the bonnet being aluminium. Mechanicals have been regularly maintained and upgraded which results in an early pull handle car that with a few changes for regulations, could be raced on some very interesting period grids, could compete in historic rallying or in its current guise is ideal for hill climbs, sprints or classic rally tours. Recent work has included a full suspension overall, engine reconditioning with mild cam fitted, cambelt kit and valves clearance done. It also had a recent fuel system overhaul. The Heritage certificate confirms the car remains in its original Tartan red paint with Black Interior trim.
