Description
The 1959 Ducati 200 Elite is a stunning classic Italian motorcycle, widely considered one of Ducati's finest early models. Introduced in 1959 (and produced until the mid-1960s), it was created by expanding the popular 175cc engine to 204cc (with a 5mm increase in bore), producing approximately 18 hp at 7, 500 rpm. This air-cooled, single-cylinder, SOHC, four-stroke motorcycle featured a 4-speed gearbox, elegant lines, and an estimated top speed of 135–145 km/ h, making it a vibrant and elegant motorcycle for its time.
While original paint schemes often included garnet/ red hues with gold or silver accents, stunning blue examples (sometimes a striking Kingfisher Blue or similar hue) exist, especially on restored or rare factory variants. The original 1959 Ducati 200 Elites are blue, highly sought-after by collectors today!
