Description
Lovely example of this popular MGA 1500 sports roadster.
MFO 144 started off life as a North American export in 1958, it was repatriated back into the UK in the early 90’s and registered in 1995, where it has had 6 owners in total since.
Looking through the history file that accompanies the MG there is photographic evidence of a body off restoration which we believe was carried out between 1992 – 1996. We have invoices totalling over £9200 for works carried out so you can tell no expense was spared. Included in the paperwork is an invoice for parts for an engine rebuild in 2011 totalling over £430.
The paintwork presents really well with good depth and shine and no major blemishes to note. The chrome work also presents well with very little pitting or tarnishing. The car also benefits from having a new roof and frame from when it was restored. The correct period painted wire wheels are in fantastic condition also.
Upon opening the door, you are greeted by the lovely as new red leather seats, which look fantastic. New carpets were fitted at time of the restoration and remain as new. All gauges are present and correct and in working order.
On the road the car performs and drives as it should and is a pleasure to drive.
Viewing is highly recommended of this popular British sports roadster.
