Few MGAs have quite the presence of this striking 1957 MGA Coupé.
Originally built for export and first registered in the United Kingdom during 2018, this highly distinctive example has been extensively restored and finished in the attractive MG colour of Dove Grey.
Styled with a clear nod to the competition MGAs of the period, the car has been de-bumpered and de-chromed, with the brightwork refinished in a subtle anodised finish. Together with its Minilite-style alloy wheels, the result is a purposeful and sporting appearance that sets it apart from a standard MGA.
Importantly, the original steel wheels are included with the car, complete with virtually new tyres, allowing a future owner the option of returning the car to a more traditional appearance should they wish.
The red interior provides a wonderful contrast to the exterior and remains in excellent condition throughout. On the road, the MGA is an absolute delight, benefiting from rebuilt carburettors, a well-tuned engine and a lively, responsive driving experience.
Introduced in 1956, the MGA Coupé offered all the style and enjoyment of the open car whilst adding winding windows, lockable doors and greater all-weather practicality. Today they remain one of the most usable and versatile MG sports cars of the period.
The car is offered with a fresh MOT certificate together with an extensive history file containing restoration records, documentation, the correct Driver’s Handbook and Workshop Manual.
