For Sale: 1946 Hillman Minx
The Minx is of an older restoration (approx. 11 years ago). €17000 was
spent on the restoration at that time. A large folder of all invoices,
documentation and photos is included with the Minx to show the cost
and the detailed restoration. There are a few minor blemishes starting to
appear on the paintwork and some TLC would be required to take it to its
original restoration condition for a fussy owner. But in my opinion, it is of
good enough condition to drive and show for many more years in its
present condition. Its still gets a lot of appreciated recognition and
phrase in its present condition at shows and rallies.
The Minz has had its engine removed and the engine was treated to a
full overhaul and detailing approx. 3 years ago. While the engine was
away for reconditioning, the engine bay was treated to a full detailing
and this really compliments the new engine.
The Minx drives extremely well, as was proven on a 100-mile trip last
month. This reflects all the new steering, suspension and brake parts
fitted to the Minx during its restoration.
