A fantastic opportunity to own a classic ‘67 13-window Volkswagen bus, finished in an eye-catching sealing wax red and white scheme and offered with long-term ownership and a well-documented history.
Originally imported from Denver, Colorado, this bus was brought into the UK and fully restored in 2004/ 05 by VW Relics, before being sold to its current owner, who has cherished it for the past 20 years.
The restoration included a full respray, replacement rubbers throughout, IRS conversion, and a rebuilt front beam, resulting in a solid, usable classic that drives as good as it looks. Photographic records of the vehicle prior to restoration are included, adding to its provenance.
Power comes from a 1600cc engine built by Terry’s Beetle Services in 2006. With only 4, 000 miles covered since installation, the engine remains in excellent condition and offers reliable performance. The long-term owners drove this bus from the East of England right down to our North Devon HQ, which says everything about how much they trust it!
This 13-window bus has been tastefully enhanced with desirable period-style features, including:
Safari front windows
Full set of pop-out side windows
Samba-style beltline trim
Flat 4 banjo steering wheel with Gold Lady horn button
Inside, the bus is fitted with a practical rock and roll bed, making it ideal for weekends away, shows, or casual camping.
Externally, it sits on brand new commercial-grade tyres with just 250 miles of use, ensuring it’s ready to be enjoyed immediately.
With its striking looks, long-term ownership, and solid mechanicals, this is a great entry into classic VW ownership or a versatile addition to any collection.
A well-sorted, great-looking classic VW ready to drive and enjoy.
