This is a 1990, UK supplied, BMW R80RT.
The bike was offered to me last year, and was in daily use, and a regular VMCC rider. The RT fairing had been removed, and it was in its original factory amethyst paintwork, showing a believed genuine 26k miles.
The bike ran and rode well, but the owner was more about maintenance rather than polishing. I happened to have a complete RT Classic paint set in stock, so the bike went into the workshop, and along with a comprehensive service, the rather special Classic livery body set was fitted. This included fairing, tank, tail piece, side panels and front mudguard, all in lovely factory paintwork. During servicing, all oils were changed (engine, gearbox, shaft and bevel) a new battery and starter motor were fitted, along with a new seat, valve clearances, plugs, etc, etc.
I hope you’d agree that this is now a rather special looking R80RT. It comes with twin Brembo’s, factory panniers, almost new tyres, and factory auxiliary clocks. The bike is ready to go, and will be supplied with a fresh MOT at point of sale.

Just a quick footnote……… I’ll be at the Stafford Classic show on the weekend of 25th / 26th of this month, and will have a good selection of used Airhead spares. Just give me a shout if you’d like me to take anything specific along.
