Description
Finished in a classic and timeless colour combination, this 1971 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow I presents a rare opportunity to acquire an iconic British luxury saloon at an accessible entry point. Powered by the renowned 6. 75 V8 engine and paired with the effortless automatic column-operated gearbox, this is a car that still delivers that unmistakable Rolls-Royce waft.
Offered as an ongoing but very usable project, this example has clearly been cherished, boasting just 5 previous owners from new. The last custodian enjoyed the car for over two decades, having owned it since September 2003. The recorded mileage of 48k is believed to be genuine, though naturally cannot be formally warranted as you will understand.
Accompanying the vehicle is a substantial history file, including a wealth of maintenance and servicing receipts, along with the original blue V5 document—always a nice touch for collectors and enthusiasts alike.
More recently, the car has benefitted from significant expenditure with marque specialists Silver Lady Brentwood Ltd. Their invoice dated 24/ 10/ 2025 totals in excess of £3, 300 covering a number of important works such as:
Replacement suspension system
New central locking system
Window lift motors and switches
Full fluid service including gearbox oil
Additional remedial items
Further protection comes in the form of a wax oil treatment to the undercarriage
Cosmetically, the car was restored a number of years ago and is now beginning to show signs of age in places. The bodywork remains largely free from major corrosion, as does the underside, though there are some minor areas of bubbling as to be expected. There are also light oil mists present, typical of the model and nothing of immediate concern.
The wheels present well, and the interior is a particular strong point - dashboard, door cards, and carpets all remain in very respectable condition.
As expected for a vehicle of this age, it is MOT, TAX, and ULEZ exempt.
Offered as a running and driving project.
