Description
This is our rare 1981 Rolls Royce Corniche Fixed Head Coupe with fitted Harvey-Bailey handling kit, contrasting Everflex roof, SU carburetor conversion, Headlamp wash/ wipers and alloy wheel upgrade too.
This is one of a limited number of 50000 series models ever built, in fact there were only ever 1108 Corniche models built throughout this series production run.
The 50000 series Corniche is the rarest and most coveted model as these were basically built with advanced Silver Spirit underpinnings and represented the last of the classic Mulliner Park Ward coach-built bodies.
Considering that this car is 45 years old, it still looks stunning and truly classy, standing and presenting well in it's Seychelles Blue livery, contrasting Everflex roof and Connolly hide interior.
Our 50000 series Corniche Coupe starts as it should, the engine is quiet, the gearbox smooth and the Harvey-Bailey handling kit transforms the ride; it drives very well, transporting it's occupants in a timeless and effortless luxury that really does belong to a different place and time.
We hold a large file of history relating to this car that dates back a long, long time and evidences that the car has been maintained and loved by its past keepers.
Our Corniche has benfitted from a Wax oil treatment and recent works completed include replacement head gaskets, a known failure issue at around 70, 000 miles; new electric fuel pump and filter; SU Carburettor conversion for improved reliability; new battery and isolator fitted with trickle charger; extended driver's seat runners; air conditioning service and full service with all fluids changed including brakes, suspension, coolant and gearbox.
This model is a "keeper" by anyone's standards and should be bought to admire and use but also to look after as we can only see it appreciating as time passes.
