LOTUS SUPER 7 S3 1969 FITTED WITH LOTUS 1558 TWIN CAM ENGINE ONE OWNER FROM 1973
This is a rare 7 and opportunity for the next owner to have an original factory Lotus 7 Series 3 fitted with an iconic Lotus Ford 1558 Twin Cam engine early in its life (the car comes with the original factory fitted GT cross flow engine and fitted with period correct Dunlop/ brand Lotus alloys, hood, side screens). The car is tax and MOT exempt. The car was driven up until a year ago and has recently been removed from storage. The car has been recommissioned and drives and the twin cam engine is strong. Everything works as it should do but would benefit from some fettling to be made into an excellent car.
The Lotus 7 Series 3 were made in small numbers (approximately 340-360 made) from late 1967 to 1970. This is not one of the factory twin cam SS 7's but an original Lotus 7 Series 3 and in my opinion one of the best models in the history of the Lotus 7. Most importantly the car has original factory chassis frame, original factory chassis plate and original manufacturers frame number and current V5 registration document with a good number plate SHO 5G. The car is not listed on the Lotus 7 Register and I will be notifying them of one of the late missing cars.
I do have in stock if required all the original parts to put this car back to factory specification i. e. steering wheel, heater, rear wings, lights and lamiplate etc.
