Description
Williams & Pritchard Ltd of Edmonton were manufacturers and suppliers to Lotus
Engineering in Hornsey during the 1950's and 1960's.
Len Pritchard of Williams & Pritchard built this series one Lotus Seven using a chassis and parts supplied by Lotus Engineering. It is believed that Colin Chapman may have supplied the chassis to Len as part payment for the work he conducted on behalf of Lotus.
Williams and Pritchard ceased to exist many years ago, however Len retained his personal Lotus Seven at home in Cuffley until purchased by the current owner directly from Len in 2008.
The car has chassis number LP-7 and an engraved plague with Lens signature on the dashboard. Fitted with a correct A series 1098 cc engine which has been fully rebuilt and hardly used since.
The Lotus was carefully and comprehensively restored after having stood for many years it is now in perfect condition, DVLA registered as an historic vehicle # 825 UYJ.
The Seven was inspected by the Lotus Register in 2014 confirming the above details with a conformation letter on file.
