Description
The SARL IMPORT ET SPORT is putting this very rare Lotus 7 1600 TC Twin Cam from 01/ 09/ 1976 up for sale. It has 42, 500 miles, about 69, 000 km. Very attractive patina, British Racing Green with a yellow nose. This example is truly part of Lotus and Caterham history, as it is among the rare vehicles sold under the Lotus name after Caterham bought the rights in May 1973. Indeed, from 1973 to 1978, Caterham Seven buyers nostalgic for the Lotus name could apply to the competent British authorities (DVLA) to register their new toy under the Lotus name. This is one of them… With Caterham archivist documentation to back it up. It has had four owners in 50 years. True Lotus 1558 TC Twin Cam with big valves, 126 hp – 4-speed manual. Two Dellorto 45 DHLA carburettors overhauled and tuned by a specialist. Currently fitted with Brooklands, but the windscreen is included with the sale. Rain kit (soft top/ doors/ boot cover). 13" Minilite wheels + five new tyres. Right-hand drive. Fully serviced (oil change and filter, gearbox and differential fluid levels, geometry, ultrasonic carburettor cleaning and adjustment, front brakes renewed, new radiator, new hoses, refurbished master cylinders, new battery, fuel tank cleaned, new fuel pump, plugs, tyres, engine seals...).
